The plot of the plane, Maj. Thomas J. Deardoff, ejected from the plane before the crash, said Army Capt. Daniel Tiffany, an affairs officer at nearby Fort Riley Army Base. Deardorf was taken to the Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley where he was listed in good condition, Zucca said.
