The Chicago White Sox signed Douglas to a class AAA minor league contract and the team traded him. The 32-year-old Douglass hasn't played organized baseball since his college days, but he has been throwing batting practice with White Sox and Chicago Cubs recently. “This is not a gimmick,” said Roland Hemond, Sox vice president.
