The Patriots, 104, lost a chance to clinch at least a wild-card playoff berth. Cincinnati, 9-5, stayed one game behind first-place Cleveland in the AFC Central. Cincinnati's Stanley Wilson, who rushed for 120 yards, scored on a 58-yard run. Eddie Brown grabbed a 23-yard pass scoring from Boomer Esiason, Larry Kinnebrew plunged 1 yard for a touchdown and Jim Breech connected on a 24-yard field goal for the Bengals.
