Students hard to count state census takers say

Ice and snow stalled state census workers' data collection efforts for two weeks in February, but nasty weather wasn't the only obstacle for census workers in the Lawrence area.

Next, each in-state student's address was checked against a census response card completed by the student's parents to see whether the parents correctly recorded the student as a member of their household
