CARTER ALSO said that Johnson had expelled the team to Kansas, Texas, Baylor, and Oklahoma. Hurt, another jock standout Kansas has eye on, is from Alleghany Junior College in Chicago. As a sophomore, Hurtt had an 18.0 scoring average and pulled down an average of 10 rebounds a game. Hurt, 6-7, set several school records during his freshman year. Hurtt isn't sure when and with whom he intends to sign. He said he hadn't made up his mind but that the chances of his coming to Kansas were good.
