The opera, written especially for young people, is the first opera to be funded by a major donor. According to Podzro, who composed the musical score, Concerts for Young People, inc. has previously used only translated, over original, operas. Pordro and Clifford said they thought the opera would appeal to both children and adults. "Children must be out of the nursery school to really enjoy the opera," said acid. Pordro added, "If an adult is willing to save his carpenterate at home for a day, he will need to be very careful."
