Templin Hall will set the stage for a third consecutive year of informal jazz education and live music. He developed the idea to have a jazz presentation with Richard Wright , professor of music history. The first seminar focused on historic jazz figures such as Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis because Sanders said the history of the music was what made it fun to listen to. "Jazz music is improvising, and it's spontaneous. You play what you feel — it's a mood," Sanders said. "Today lots of people think jazz is Kenny G, but that's more like elevator music," he said.
