College students are deeply concerned about environmental issues, according to a survey released this month by the National Wildlife Federation. The study, conducted in November 1989, found that students supported environmentally safe products, mandatory community recycling and tougher laws to protect the environment. The trend toward increased environmental consciousness is evident at the University of Kansas and at universities across the country, said.
