OK. That gorgeous hunk or hunkette finally agreed to go out with you. You finished dinner without plucking your shirtsleeves into the soup, and the movie was entertaining enough to warrant a post-cinema chat.
So you and your date get all fired up to go out and get . . . cappuccino?
Riding a tidal wave of upscale coffee that is sweeping across the United States, KU students are shunning the traditional bar scene in search of a different kind of drink.
"People that never liked going to bars now have a place to go," said Loren Gershon, Overland Park sophomore.
Gershon is a bartender at Sebastian's, a coffee bar behind The Crossing at 12th and Oread. Gershon said that in addition to being a welcome retreat from the Lawrence bar scene, Sebastian's had a regular crowd
