CAMPUS BRIEF Jury trial set for man charged in cariacking A Dec. 6 jury trial was scheduled yesterday for a Topeka youth charged with murder and attempted aggravated robbery connected to a carjacking incident in North Lawrence Sept. 18. his vehicle while parked at the Riverfront Park in North Lawrence. Lees' girlfriend and her two children were in the car at the time of the shooting but were not injured. Abraham Orr, 17, will be tried in Douglas County District Court as an adult because of two previous violations as a juvenile that would have been considered felonies. The court heard testimony in preliminary hearings yesterday from nine witnesses, including police detectives and officers, a paramedic, the county coroner and Lees' girlfriend. Orr was arrested after Lawrence resident Edward Lees was shot in Orr pleaded not guilty to both charges. He remained in custody at the Douglas County jail under a $500,000 bond.
