Fund-raising problems stall house buy by a Kansan reporter The KU International Club wants to purchase a house this semester for its members, an adviser to the club said yesterday. To earn the money for the house, members are organizing a fundraiser. Adrienne Rivers-Waribagha, the adviser, said that club members wanted a house so they would have a place to meet. But Rivers-Waribagha said that she did not think the club would get permission for the fund-raiser because of Campaign Kansas. To have a fund-raiser, the club must first get permission from the administration, said James Martin, executive vice president of the Kansas University Endowment Association. If the administration grants permission, then the club would need the permission of the Endowment Association. Martin said. The Endowment Association establishes priorities and coordinates all fund raising activities for the University. Campaign Kansas is the University's five-year, $150 million fund-raising drive.
