Who Is Being Deceived?
"Only 5% of KU students listen to KJHK."
-the powers-that-be at KJHK, justifying a format change.
"45% of KU students listen to KJHK."
-the powers-that-be at KJHK, in a written appeal to donors.
Both of these statements were made within a six-week period. Both figures are drawn from the same body of research.
Are students being deceived? Are donors being deceived?
More importantly, if the programming and management changes that are being forced on KJHK cannot be justified by low listenership figures WHAT THEN ARE THE REASONS BEHIND THE CHANGES?
