[Announcer] And welcome home ladies and gentlemen: the University of Kansas marching band! [Announcer] The University of Michigan, marching band! [Announcer] Today's band presents a super star-studded show, entitled 'Superstars!' They play rockin' melodies by the country's super stars. [Announcer] And now for the next super star the band will play you a pair of themes from super bills! (Announcer introduces the next song, 'Bridge over Troubled Water') - [Announcer] Today is set aside to pay tribute to academic excellence and to honor outstanding teaching at the University of Kansas. In keeping with the general theme of excellence we are privy to welcome to the University of Kansas one of the nation's reigning symphony orchestra conductors: George Pastor, who is conductor and head supervisor of the Kansas City Philharmonic. Mr. Pastor will lead the band in the fanfare from the Invocation of Albericht by Wagner, to be followed by a standard march entitled 'Grandioso' by Seitz. Maestro George Pastor.
