On November 10, 1975 the United States Marine Corps was born and of the 198th birthday of the Marine Corps the color guard today is made up of three from the ROTC unit of the University of Kansas. Dr. Joseph Marnswall, commanding. With the band in the giant K formation, we invite every one to stand and join us in the singing of the KU alma mater, "The Crimson and the Blue", to be followed by the "Rock Chalk Chant". Welcome our visitors from Colorado and our TV audience as the band reflects that progresses down industry. The KU band as it presents the Newspring march entitled "Marching Dynamite". The popular sounds of America are recalled in the band's popular "McArthur March", which was recorded by and arranged by the KU band arranger James Marsh. We now feature an outstanding trumpet section, the KU flags and the '73 pom pom girls with an arrangement of "A Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy from Company B". And another hit from the past as the band plays the music from the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar". Playing a medley of KU fight songs as the band spells out .
