Lawrence Photographs Collection

This collection of photographic materials relating to Lawrence, Kansas spans the early 19th century through the late 20th century and includes photographs of businesses, public spaces, churches and schools, residences, cityscapes and street scenes, natural features, portraits of prominent local figures and unidentified individuals, events and ceremonies, daily life in Lawrence, disasters, unidentified portraits by Lawrence photographers, and other subject matter. The photographs, often undated, have come from a wide variety of sources and have been compiled by the Spencer Research Library into this single collection.
