Raymond Stuhl, professor of music at the University of Kansas from 1935-1977, began practicing the cello at age 10 in Kansas City, MO. He went to a private, prestigious music school in Europe to learn more about his art before returning to America to look for a job. He was offered a position at the University of Kansas teaching chamber music. He discusses the creation of the KU Chamber Music and Concert series and reflects on all his famous contemporaries and students who went on to successful careers.
