Description: This letter, written shortly after Nightingale's return from the Crimea, alludes to her strained relationship with Dr. Andrew Smith. Because of this situation, Nightingale requests Dr. Taylor's assistance in the disposal of the "Free Gifts" which returned with her from the war. She also makes reference to Lord Panmure's statement that she was a "turbulent character".
